The Role

The Baytree by Ardency is a premium retirement Resort located in Greenwich that has paved the way for a unique retirement experience which combines the very best in independent living with the premium amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an engaged and driven Food & Beverage Team Leader to join our dynamic team at The Baytree Restaurant and Lounge Bar.

You will be hands-on in your approach to delivering a unique and personal dining experience, while you mentor team members to deliver the same exceptional five-star service. You will also be instrumental in creating spectacular events throughout the year, with the Resort having a vibrant social calendar.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced hospitality or hotel professional looking for a new challenge and is looking for a position with regular shifts, working business hours Tuesday to Thursday, and evenings on Fridays and Saturdays, with no requirement to work public holidays!

Reporting the Resort Manager, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the front of house operations, working in conjunction with our executive chef and kitchen team
  • Preparation and setting up for meal service
  • Managing reservations and room service confirmations
  • Planning and execution of our resort events
  • Assisting with meal & beverage service
  • Providing exceptional customer service to residents and their guests
  • Training and onboarding of restaurant wait staff
  • Responding to resident enquiries

About You

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, dependable and have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. You will maintain a high level of product knowledge, ensuring your team are confident in their knowledge across varying service styles whilst building strong relationships with residents, their guests and food and beverage team members alike. A background in either hospitality or hotel would be advantageous, as well as having the following:

  • A passion for all aspects of a food and beverage operation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be extremely well presented and reliable
  • Have a passionate and customer-focused approach with a can-do and proactive attitude
  • A Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate and barista skills
  • A current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
  • The ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure
  • Be motivated and able to take initiative
  • Basic computer skills
