The Company:

This well-established organisation based in Sydney’s Hills District is looking for a positive, motivated and switched-on Trades Assistant to support their workshop fitters and join their high-performing team in the hydraulics space.

The Opportunity:

The position's main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prioritise and complete workshop tasks in timely manner
  • Paint hydraulic components
  • Organise and dispatch order shipments/freight in a timely manner
  • Assembly and fitting of hydraulic and industrial hoses
  • Operating basic hand tools
  • Assist workshop fitters and tradesmen when required
  • Follow quality and OH&S management system procedures
  • Keep workshop and workspace tidy and presentable

The successful applicant will ideally have the following skills, experience and attributes to be considered for this opportunity.

  • Experience working as a workshop trades assistant is essential
  • Experience working in the hydraulics industry would be highly regarded
  • Experience in hydraulic hose assemblies
  • Excellent communication (Written and Verbal) & Interpersonal Skills to customers and team
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Eye for correcting faults, detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fun yet fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Mechanically minded, dedicated, switched-on person with a great work ethic and positive can-do attitude
