We have a wonderful new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant with an impressive Penrith-based organisation that is growing from strength to strength.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the CFO (and other team members) you will be able to show your accounting expertise and will have a wonderful mentor and direct manager.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Accounts Receivables
  • Accounts Payable
  • Debtor and Creditor Management
  • Management Reporting
  • Budgeting
  • Purchase Orders
  • Data Entry, Administration and other ad-hoc tasks/projects as requested

Skills & Experience: 

  • TAFE Accounting/ Accounts Administration/ Financial Accounting and or University qualifications in Accounting
  • Previous experience in a similar Accounting role working within a busy and fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word & MS Outlook)
  • Previous experience processing with NetSuite is highly desirable but not essential -  Training will be provided
  • Strong understanding of Accounting Principles and the Accounting Cycle
  • Passionate about working with numbers with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/under-pressure environment with tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail with strong prioritisation, organisation and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills – Happy to pick up the phone and speak with internal and external parties
  • A great positive/can-do attitude and a true team player happy to pitch in and help out where required
