About the company

Our client is an experienced office fit out company with over 30 years industry experience and hundreds of projects completed. They have a new office based in Oran Park (Southwestern Sydney). Due to ongoing growth and upcoming projects, the business requires the support of an enthusiastic Project and Contract Administrator who ideally has hands on trades/construction experience and is looking to get off the tools. 

You will be provided with significant exposure and development opportunities, whilst working in a highly collaborative team environment.

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for;

  • Preparing and collating required contracts and purchase orders
  • Ordering materials including material take off
  • Processing monthly claims
  • Administration of price variations
  • Coordinating quotes/estimates from sub-contractors 
  • Paperwork and filling
  • Some on-site supervision – pre-start checks and ongoing coordination with trades on site
  • Undertaking a range of administrative and coordination activities to support efficient project operations.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors 
  • Site cleanup as required so be prepared to get hands dirty when required.

The successful candidate

The successful candidate will have at least two-years’ experience working in the construction industry. You will be an all-rounder, with a basic understanding of drawings and design. You will be highly motivated, trustworthy, friendly, and able to communicate with people effectively. A legitimate interest in the building industry or design is required to succeed in the role. Trade qualifications are preferred. Some interstate travel will be required.
