The Opportunity
Employee and Payroll Services department within HealthShare NSW is a transactional shared service that is responsible for ensuring that 170,000+ NSW Health employees receive the correct pay at the correct time. Employee and Payroll Services also manage and process Junior Medical Officer (JMO) recruitment state-wide via an annual recruitment campaign.
We are currently searching for highly motivated detail detail-orientated employees with strong analytical skills with a knack for problem-solving to come on board as Payroll Services Officers. Here you will enjoy working at our Charlestown or St Leonards offices, with a hybrid working arrangement at an organisation that will be committed to your growth and development and will positively foster your skills and talents. You will receive in-depth training in payroll processes and associated technologies.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Payroll Team Leader your duties may include:
- Processing salaries and weekly pay run
- Administration and reconciliation of employee leave entitlements
- Processing termination payments
- Employee payroll transactions
- Recruitment for Junior Medical Officer bulk recruitment campaign
- Maintaining confidentiality of payroll data concerning privacy legislation
- Ensure compliance with relevant NSW Health Awards and policies
About You
- You have a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and meeting deadlines
- You are a team player, with the ability to work in a Team environment
- Extremely high accuracy and attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer literacy and experience with software packages
- Experience with the HR payroll system is desired but not essential
- Possess analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
