Your role

The Hatch Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. They will help you through the transition, bridging the gap between your education and career. As part of the Control, Automation & Electrical team you will gain exposure to related design engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. You may be involved in various phases of projects from scoping and conceptual design, pre- feasibility studies, through to detailed engineering.

The Professional Development Program

As a Vacation Student with Hatch, you will build professional relationships with renowned experts, and champion great initiatives for reputable, well-known clients. You will belong to a company that fosters career growth, encourages continuous improvement and is pioneering in nature. The 12-week program commences on Monday, 18 Nov 2024. During this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen Monday, 6 January 2025.

You will have opportunities to:

About you

The following will make you perfect for the role:

  • You will be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechatronic / Control Systems Engineering, with a strong academic record, ideally in your third year (or later) of study.
  • Candidates will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be collaborators with the ability to think laterally and innovatively to solve problems.
  • You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change
