Your role

The Hatch Vacation Student Program offers a unique opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain hands-on industry experience. They are dedicated to supporting your transition from academia to your professional career, helping bridge the gap between education and the workplace.

As a member of the Advisory practice, you will participate in a variety of engagements that will enhance your problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills through collaboration with both the team and clients. You may also have the chance to contribute to the following activities:

  • Assisting in the development of cost models, financial models, and business cases for projects and initiatives, both for external clients and within Hatch
  • Engaging proactively with internal stakeholders to gather information, deliver reports, and presentations, and provide verbal updates as required
  • Collecting and summarizing data through document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions to support various initiatives
  • Preparing scenarios and case studies to assist analysts and consultants in decision-making
  • Working alongside subject matter experts to evaluate trade-offs between planned objectives and business performance needs
  • Providing administrative support as needed

The Professional Development Program

As a Vacation Student with Hatch, you will build professional relationships with renowned experts, and champion great initiatives for reputable, well-known clients. You will belong to a company that fosters career growth, encourages continuous improvement and is pioneering. The 12-week program commences on Monday, 18 Nov 2024. During this time Hatch will have its annual office closure from COB Friday, 20 December 2024 and will reopen Monday, 6 January 2025.

About you

Qualifications:

  • You will have (or be working towards) a bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, ideally in your third year (or later) of study,  with a strong academic record
  • Successful candidates will also have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong passion for working closely in a team environment to solve complex problems
  • You will also have an interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and are committed to creating positive change
