  • Arrive at least 45 minutes prior to first class starting, secure equipment throughout the centre. Admin preparation includes welcoming packs, getting the centre ready for the day.
  • Ensure that the centre entrance is clear of obstructions and that it is clean and tidy
  • Put on heating/air conditioning/fans prior to the commencement of the first session.
  • Be ready on the front desk at least 5 minutes before the session commences to: mark attendance, assist with online payments, take orders for saleable items, answer queries, sign in 'non-registered attendants.
  • Be responsible for the ongoing tidiness of the floor and the welcome area, throughout clean between classes.
  • Assist the teacher as required during the session time: Put on the correct music for songs, small equipment and activities; assist parents of the children, both at group time and equipment time.
  • Assist parents and children as required.
  • Assist in the safe alteration of equipment between sessions.
  • Valid Work With Children Certificate is a must
  • Clean equipment between classes.
  • Assist the teacher to pack up small equipment used during the day. The assistant is not expected to pack up the large wooden equipment unless they have been specifically employed to do this.
  • Must be willing to be trained how to assemble and pack up the equipment efficiently and within a reasonable time span.
  • Unpack and erect the equipment according to the plan provided by the teacher.
  • Ensure that the franchisee/teacher is aware of any equipment that is damaged, missing or unsafe.
