Adult Autism Services (AAS) is a post-school program for young adults with autism located in Gladesville and surrounds. We foster a positive, supportive and collaborative workplace culture and we hope to find the right support workers to join our team!

We are committed to encouraging independence for all our participants through the values of person-centredness, strengths-based approaches and active support principals.

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for support workers with experience in supporting non - verbal participants and those with complex behaviours. Someone who can think on their feet and support their participants using autism principles.

Please note: Only applicants that meet all the requirements will be considered.

  • Be eligible to work in Australia
  • Minimum Certificate IV in disability, community service or similar or working towards 
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19, including a booster
  • A ‘can do’ enthusiastic approach to active support
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of the sector (desirable, however, on the job training is provided)
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
