2022 Information and Records Officer - TAFE Students Preferred null

A position exists to provide frontline information and record management support to all council business units. The role requires involvement in all activities undertaken by the information and records management division through a multi-skilled approach. This is a crucial role in the organisation.

The information and records officer is responsible for

• Providing frontline information management support to all council business units. 
• For the capture, maintenance, transfer, retrieval and retention/disposal of information generated by Fairfield City Council and received from external organisations 
• Process informal applications under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009
• For collecting, sorting and distributing mail; posting and franking all outgoing mail
• Retrieving and storing files, scanning; file sentencing and disposal
• Training and all other duties associated with the mailroom, such as attending to hand deliveries outside the office if required
