What if your career could have a lasting impact on you, and on the world?

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart. We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world. Through our coaching and training programs, you’ll develop the skillsets you need to stay relevant today, and in the future – all while building a network of colleagues, mentors, and leaders who will be on the journey with you at EY and beyond. The exceptional EY experience. It's yours to build.

What’s in it for you?

EY’s Asia-Pacific Tax Innovation team is at an exciting stage on its mission to incubate and launch new value-creating products and initiatives that challenge the status quo and positively impact our people and clients.

Supporting over 10,000 people across Asia-Pacific Tax, the team is seeking a communications and design specialist to join as the Asia-Pacific Tax Innovation Communications & Design Associate.

The Asia-Pacific Tax Innovation team works with disruptive start-ups, university innovation labs, entrepreneurs and corporate partners such as Microsoft to explore how emerging technology such as ChatGPT, the Metaverse and significant environmental changes such as Sustainability will impact our Tax, Law and People Advisory Services teams and the clients we serve.

You will be an integral member of the Asia-Pac Tax Innovation team and be responsible for supporting the team’s internal communications activities and be responsible for producing visually engaging graphic assets to incorporate into product and project marketing plans.

This opportunity is open to candidates who are interested in casual work (estimated to be ~20-40 hours per month) and we are flexible on location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create professional, informative and compelling content that resonates and engages with employees at all levels for a variety of channels (e.g. email, executive presentations, intranet news, Yammer, etc)
  • Write, edit and proof-read communication and thought-leadership material in formats including internal and client-facing go-to-market materials, newsletter content and intranet articles
  • Design engaging graphic assets to incorporate into internal communication materials and as part of broader project marketing communication plans
  • Update and manage the team’s SharePoint site, communications calendar and admin files
  • Work collaboratively across the A-Pac Tax Innovation team, and other EY communications and technology teams
  • Help increase awareness and engagement on innovation, new technology and intrapreneurship across the Asia-Pacific Tax practice.

What we’re looking for?

  • Undergraduate or Post-Graduate student studying communications, marketing, advertising, media or journalism who’s passionate about innovation, technology, start-ups and entrepreneurship.  Knowledge of Tax is not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence ranging from senior executive leadership teams to enterprise-wide communications to external social media
  • Ability to translate complex information into simple, engaging information for the target audience
  • Proficiency in design and graphic creation using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing tasks and demands
  • Comfortable working in a virtual team environment. Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and direction
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience in an internal communications role at a medium to large organisation or in copywriting and editing for marketing or communications collateral, websites, intranets, magazines and newsletters
  • Knowledge and experience of social media (e.g. LinkedIn) as part of the communications mix

Eligibility

  • Australian and New Zealand citizens or students with non-restricted working rights
