STITCH COFFEE was born of an idea that coffee is much like a tapestry - it is a weaving of origins and flavours to create a delicious cup. Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate and manage the day-to-day operation of the business, including food and beverages, service excellence, client and stakeholder management.
  • Deliver a service operation that exceeds the expectations of our customers.
  • Achieve monthly financial performance targets and implement actions to ensure achievement of financial KPIs, this includes but not limited to sales, labor cost, budgets and profitability.
  • Provide strong leadership for the team and promote a culture of professionalism, welcoming and excellence.
  • Staff Management role which includes but not limited to hiring and training staffs, rostering and developing the team.
  • Implement the cash handling procedures set out by the business.
  • Excellent selling and upselling skills, with a primary focus on specialty coffee from beans to brewing equipment.
  • Maintain a professional and inviting ambience to the customers by having an attention to details.
  • Engage with customers in meaningful conversations about our premium coffee offerings, sharing insights into origins, flavour profiles, and brewing techniques to enhance their coffee knowledge and appreciation.
  • Contribute to the retail aspect of our coffee shop by doing visual merchandising and periodic reshuffling.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Proven at least 2 years of experience as an experienced cook, by demonstrating the skills listed below:
    • Technical knowledge and skills with experience in various cooking techniques, flavours and cuisines.
    • Demonstrated a creative and innovative approach to the production of food.
    • A keen eye for detail and flair for presentation
    • Able to describe different flavours and textures of the dishes to help the Front of House team to communicate to customers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate the needs of our customers.
  • High standards of professionalism, hygiene, and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
