Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• General food preparation as directed by the Head Chef. This includes but not limited to:
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
  • Regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, roasters and fridges.
  • Ensure proper proportion, arrangement and garnishes.
• Maintain food logs, monitoring the quality and quantity of food being served.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation and ensuring the compliance of WH&S and Food Safety policy.
• Collaborate with the Chefs and front of house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for the customers.

Requirements:

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• Proven at least 2 years of experience as an experienced cook, by demonstrating the skills listed below:
  • Technical knowledge and skills with experience in various cooking techniques, flavours and cuisines.
  • Demonstrated a creative and innovative approach to the production of food.
  • A keen eye for detail and flair for presentation
  • Able to describe different flavours and textures of the dishes to help the Front of House team to communicate to customers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate the needs of our customers.
• High standards of professionalism, hygiene, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills.
