We currently have four (4) vacant Treatment Technican's across Council's Water Supply and Sewerage system in both Dubbo (3) and Wellington (1).
With these vacancies comes an exciting opportunity for individuals with either experience in treatment plant operations or practical experience operating an industrial process. The Water Supply and wastewater sector is growing industry that will become increasingly critical over time. So if you are passionate about making a positive contribution to your local community then this is a role for you.
In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the community by assisting in the operation of the treatment plants and associated reservoirs, booster station and sewer pumping stations to ensure that best quality drinking water is supplied and wastewater meets the requirements of applicable legislation.
Assist in the operation and maintenance of Council’s Water and Waste Water Treatment Plants across both Dubbo and Wellington as well as undertake routine standard operation of Council’s Water and Waste Water treatment facilities including testing of water and wastewater quality.
You will have hands-on experience working and operating with industrial processes and will have experience in the operation of supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA/telemetry). You will value the opportunity to work in a diverse multi-functional regional Council.
You have excellent communication skills and are a team player who continually looks for positive ways to contribute to team culture. You will have a commitment to ongoing learning and will take on the challenge of obtaining a Certificate III in Water Operations (if required) within 2 years of employment.
