2022 Audio Visual Technician - TAFE Students Preferred null

We are currently looking for an AUDIO VISUAL APPRENTICE, who is looking to get into our industry and undertake a course in either:

• Cert III in Telecommunications Technology (ICT30519)
• Certificate III in Electronics and Communications (UEE30920)

As an Apprentice you will assist the team with carrying out the day-to-day project work to ensure the following outcomes:

• The timely completion of projects
• Carry out safe work practices
• Satisfied customers
• Quality standards and practices are maintained

The apprentice/trainee will be involved in the following:

• Assist technicians with installing Professional Audio-Visual Equipment
• Learn to set out installation works according to specifications and instruction
• Learn to set out, cut and install cables such as conduit, cable tray, ducting and wire systems
• Learn rack wiring, termination and labelling to Diversified standards
• Learn to read and interpret schematic diagrams, panel drawings and rack layouts
• Learn to record and maintain relevant documentation about commissioning
• Learn to line test and commission cabling systems, including field and inter-rack cabling
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Complete work accurately and efficiently
• Travel to regional and remote client sites when required
• Observe WH&S standards ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner
• Undergo classroom-based training periodically to achieve a Certificate 3 qualification

What you will need to have:

• a can-do attitude that is supportive of workplace initiative and has high work ethics
• a passion for delivering great customer service
• a history of working in a team and with new people would be beneficial
• proof of meeting safety requirements would be beneficial
• experience in adapting to new technologies and guidelines
• A valid Driver’s License
