Description

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team at DiGiCOR. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily warehousing activities and support DiGiCOR’s warehouse operations. The main tasks for Warehouse Assistant are to receive, input, sort, load, and unload products and perform other warehouse activities to ensure high efficiency in the warehouse operations. The primary inventory items of DiGiCOR are hardware, server, and computer components, so prior experience in a similar field is preferred.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize stocks and inventory while process and examine ingoing and outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely deliveries and dispatches in compliance with the warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements at DiGiCOR.
  • Responsible for courier charges, quality control, and stock control of the warehouse, keep track of the sales orders, and ensure orders delivery meet the time requirements.
  • Inspecting packages, labels, product details, and the quality of the products; reporting to relevant parties if found faulty or inconsistent descriptions.
  • Manage stock control with regular reconciliation with a data storage system to maintain clear records on inventory and stock location.
  • Proactive in digitalizing stock management and implementing opportunities to improve the digitalization of stock levels and related processes.
  • Practice green procedures to recycle most of items, which involves contacting recycle places for any unused items, regularly organizing recycle items and clearing out aging items to empty warehouse space.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the warehouse, with appropriate setup layout to ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications of Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • High school or TAFE diploma, preferably with prior experience in Warehouse management or similar role.
  • Forklift license to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment.
  • Prior experience with hardware and computer components, is preferable.
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems.
  • Demonstrate strong teamworking skills with strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
