Dandelion House is an accredited NDIS Disability Service Provider, operating in Dubbo. We provide support independent living (SIL) style accommodation to people with a disability. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide the best quality service, in a person-centred way, tailored to meet the needs of our Participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrate person-centred care principles.
  • Managing emotions and challenging behaviours.
  • Administrative duties i.e., shifts notes and reports.
  • Provide direct care and support to people with a disability with all activities of daily living which may include domestic duties, personal care, social support, medication assistance, manual handling, transport, meals and attending appointments.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all key stakeholders; clients, families, guardians, and involved services.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current unrestricted driver’s license and reliable vehicle that you are willing to use to transport Clients.
  • Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current NDIS worker check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current working with children's check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Vaccinated for Covid-19.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.

Desired Criteria:

  • Relevant industry qualification.
  • Experience working in the community services sector.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with mental health, complex needs, and challenging behaviours.
