    About the role

    The areas of responsibilities include:

    • Procedures - Development, review and implementation of Safe Operating Procedures / Competency to Operate documents
    • Training & Inductions - Developing, implementation and tracking of Safety & Environment Training and assisting with development of Training materials and packages
    • Contractor Management - Tracking and reporting on implementation of Contractor Management Policy and Procedures.
    • Audits - Scheduling, tracking and conducting site audits for Hazardous Chemicals, Work Boats, Plant, Clean Marinas, Land & Marina Assets; independently or providing assistance to site teams / Managers / Group Risk Manager
    • Incidents - Follow up, consultation, investigation and tracking of Safety & Damage related incidents, Hazards, Near-Misses and Environmental Complaints
    • Document Control - Filing and management of working documents and archives
    • General administrative tasks

    Skills and experience

    Required:

    • Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety or equivalent
    • Must hold a Drivers Licence and be available to travel interstate including overnight on occasions
    • High level of oral and written communication skills
    • Computer literacy (MS Office applications) and attention to detail

    Preferred:

    • Previous experience will be highly regarded
    • Familiarity with WHS legislations
    • Fundamental understanding or experience with Environmental Protection Licensing preferred.
    • Marine industry background (not essential)
