About the placement

This internship is with Advitech and is facilitated by the CSIRO’s Generation STEM Links program.

This project involves the investigation and design of a floating telecommunications system, to support the offshore renewable energy industry. Working with a larger team, you will be involved in the early stage investigation into the feasibility of this work. This project is likely to include solar and battery system sizing, load calculations and engineering design.

Work arrangements

  • Start date: June – July 2024
  • Working arrangement: Part-time for 200 hours 
  • Remuneration: $31.25 on a casual contract with Advitech
  • Location: Mayfield West

Desired capabilities

  • In their penultimate to final year of a STEM degree or qualification.
  • A background in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Design is required
  • Ability to comprehend and translate complex problems.
  • High level problem solving and communication skills.
  • Confident with complex calculations
  • Strong report writing experience.

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be in your penultimate or final year of an undergraduate qualification.
