AQF5 Arborists – Part-Time & Full Time Positions Available

We are looking for AQF Level 3 or 5 Arborists with a can-do attitude to join the CPS team based in Sydney for Arboricultural consulting and tree survey projects.   

The Role:

The immediate role covers both regular consulting projects and broad-scale tree surveys to create tree inventories. You will be responsible for ground-based field work and inspections of vegetation, managing and accurately recording all relevant information to assist in compiling Reports and tree inventories. This is an opportunity to have an indoor-outdoor work balance, gain skills in using the latest GIS equipment and state-of-the-art technology, and be part of a passionate team of experienced consulting Arborists.

An attractive remuneration package is being offered with an immediate start. We are also offering a bonus scheme for any person who completes the project with us.

We offer extremely flexible working arrangements and you can work either weekdays or weekends and choose your desired hours.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum AQF5 or 3 Diploma Arboriculture/Horticulture or international equivalent
• Applicants who are currently studying are also encouraged to apply
• A current and unrestricted drivers’ license
• A desire to learn new technologies
• Industry knowledge of local tree species & general Visual Tree Assessment (VTA)
• Attention to detail and the ability to accurately record information
• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently outdoors
• Knowledge of AS4970-2009 Protection of trees of development sites and AS4373-2007 Pruning of amenity trees
• Strong written and report writing skills
• QTRA or TRAQ qualification is desirable
