      The firm has been established since 1989 and has grown to provide a diverse range of professional services to clients in the construction and insurance industries.
      Our offices are located in Walsh Bay, in Sydney's tourist precinct, close to transport, shops and restaurants and also in Newcastle/Hunter region.
      We are currently seeking a person who has completed Year 12 recently and is either enrolled for an Engineering Drafting Diploma or Certificate at TAFE or looking to complete such a course before undertaking a long, progressive career in civil engineering, in either our Sydney or Newcastle offices

      Starting as a Trainee Draftsperson (Civil) the person will learn about drafting and the administrative aspects of Costin Roe's engineering practice. At the same time, the person will be sponsored through a 3-year Engineering Drafting course at Ultimo and be mentored by our senior CAD draftspersons and engineers.
      Important requirements for this position include

      • Successful completion of year 12.
      • Strong focus on Maths and Science.
      • Demonstrated interest in technical topics/hobbies.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Good knowledge of computers – Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
      • Participation in sport and team activities.
      • Analytical thinking skills.
      • Listening skills.
      • Effective management of time and self.
      • Providing administrative support and backup to other staff members.
      • Current NSW Drivers License
