Job Description

As a Graduate, you will have the rare opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team within the caretaker portfolio for the SCADA and OT network systems across the Curragh site.  You will learn and grow and assist in developing and maintaining the standards for design, installation and maintenance of the SCADA and OT network, as well as provide frontline support to operations and maintenance for all technical matters involving the SCADA and OT network.

Your role will be rewarding and varied and will include:

  • Provide technical support in aspects of SCADA and OT network systems
  • Fault find in conjunction with OEM all issues found with the SCADA, Historian and MES systems, and implement patches or corrective works to rectify
  • Assist in developing SCADA standard modules including equipment, genies, faceplates and templates to standardise and optimise the look and feel of the SCADA system across the site and match the PLC code being developed by the Instrument and Controls Specialist.
  • In conjunction with the Instrument and Controls Specialist, update existing equipment to the new standards as the PLC code is developed.
  • Assist in developing technical standards for design, procurement and implementation of OT Networks
  • Ensure compliance with change management standards concerning software and hardware modifications on the production control systems
  • Assist in identifying risks when upgrade strategies are implemented to ensure SCADA and OT Network systems in use do not present a significant business risk due to obsolescence

You will be a recent Graduate with a Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering
