DO WORK THAT MATTERS

At Bankwest customers are our priority. That belief ripples through every team at Bankwest, ensuring we care just as much about each other as the work we do. We couldn’t do this without our high performing technology team, who every day is helping to make our customers’ lives easier.

Customer preferences are shifting to digital channels and Bankwest's Technology team plays a critical role in delivering the brilliant solutions and experiences that make our customers’ lives easier.

Our Technology team is responsible for simplifying and modernising Bankwest’s technology environment, while also unlocking new value for our customers. We do this by designing and delivering market leading technology solutions, and as part of the CBA Group we have access to world leading technology - from innovative product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business.

Right now, we’re building the foundations and increasing our adoption of cloud, automation, analytics, data science, virtualisation, and API-enabled systems – this is your chance to be part of WA’s largest employers of tech-educated professionals and help shape the future of Bankwest Technology.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU

We are seeking driven and motivated individuals. This role operates in a creative, challenging and revolutionary environment where we’re dealing with sweeping technological change.

We’re looking for adaptive problem-solvers who want to be part of something big, and who can help to further strengthen the culture of one of WA’s most established, but eager-for-change, financial institutions.

This program is best suited to people with University or TAFE qualifications in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Information Science, Software Development, Software Engineering and Website Development.

WE INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE

The program commences on 20 February 2023, where you’ll join as a full-time permanent employee. Throughout this program you will be provided professional development opportunities including interactive masterclasses, training courses and graduate conference events to help you transition from full-time study to full-time life!

As a graduate, you’re not a number or ‘just’ a coder, we’ll give you incredibly broad and exciting opportunities to deepen and grow your capabilities by working on real stuff and delivering real value for the business from day one – delivering solutions, reinvigorating existing technologies and creating new ones. Our structured program includes rotations across a wide range of cross-functional delivery teams to develop your skills and set you up for career success.

At Bankwest we know a balanced career makes for the best kind of work. We encourage unparalleled flexible working arrangements, so you can enjoy and accommodate modern life. Bankwest is made by us and we couldn’t shape the future of our technology without you.

Skills can be taught but at Bankwest we seek out people with strong values, empathy, good communications skills and who support diversity.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • You are an Australian/New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident at the time of your application (essential)
  • In your final year of your qualification or have graduated within the last 12 months (essential); and
  • Achieving at least a credit average across your university degree or TAFE diploma (essential).

I value CommBank’s approach to practical on-the-job learning. I’ve had the ability to apply the communications and creative problem-solving skills that I learnt at uni, to what I’m working on in the real world.
