With multiple construction projects nationwide, opportunities are available for motivated, dependable, and experienced Boilermakers and Welders who have the capacity to travel interstate. Successful candidates will be proficient in welding techniques, physically fit, and able to demonstrate a high level of reading comprehension. They will be able to detect and repair issues, possess excellent mechanical skills, and be able to work effectively at heights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricating steel liners, hard facing of tooling and repairs to plant 
• Operating, installing, and assembling boilers 
• Reading blueprints for location, position, and dimensions
• Completing maintenance documentation
• Shaping and fabricating parts
• Cleaning pressure vessel equipment
• Inspecting equipment and proper functioning
• Working closely with other members of the team 
• Cleaning and maintaining plant and equipment 
• Maintaining a safe environment by promoting and adhering to the Company’s standards
• General project site duties 
• Working to a FIFO roster

Essential skills & qualifications: 

• Experienced boiler makers and welders
• Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent) 
• Completion of an apprenticeship program is required
• Ability to pass macro examination weld testing
• Follows written and verbal instructions 
• Construction Industry White Card is essential
• Candidates must be physically fit for labour intensive work 
• Current Drivers Licence essential
• High Risk Work Licence desirable 
• Working Safely at Heights desirable
• Confined Space Ticket desirable 
• Excellent reading comprehension 
• Learns quickly and has strong math, problem-solving and critical thinking skills 
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR is desirable
• Ability to work well in a team environment 
• The ability to adapt to changing project requirements
