The City of Gold Coast has a significant focus on flexibility and work from home. The CEO has stated on many occasions that "the greater the flexibility, the greater the happiness and work outcomes from staff".

Very flexible. In this time in my life with family challenges I am so grateful.

I personally need to take more breaks away from my screen and my desk. However, as part of the Graduate Academy, I am regularly in attendance of events outside of the office, including site visits, meetings with operational staff (Surf Live savers, STP officers, resource recovery centres etc).

The company is flexible, allowing us to WFH twice weekly and have a 9 day fortnight.
Graduate, Gold Coast - 23 Jul 2024
36 hrs per week, 8 hours a day, 9 days per fortnight. My company is quite flexible with working hours, you can start early and finish early if you want, and provide 2 WFH days per week.

Our company allows us to have a 9 day fortnight which I find to be quite good.

They are very flexible, however still require about 2 days in office per week (depending on the team.) I would prefer to have full WFH as the baseline, and come into office a few times a month as needed for team collaboration. Sometimes being in office feels forced, as hot desking means I am isolated from my team and only in office for the sake of it.
