My Manager is so lovely and supportive. From my first day, she had me seated next to her and has made herself available to assist me or answer any questions I have had. No matter how busy she is, she always has time for me. She also checks in with me on a monthly basis to discuss monthly goals, gives feedback and requests feedback from me as well.

I do weekly check-ins with my line leader and monthly check-ins with both my line leader and manager. My meetings are to discuss capacity, feedback, concerns, training, questions etc.

All leaders I have come across are amazing. The council has leadership programs that help to support and develop our leaders

My managers are kind and very understanding towards my personal life. I think I personally could benefit from more role clarity and discussion about my work progress. We are a rather busy bunch to sometimes this falls off the radar. The more I work with them the more confident I am to engage. I thrive with feedback be it constructive or positive. It helps me to gauge how I am travelling so that I can keep growing, developing and providing value as an employee.

My direct manager has an open door policy. I regularly knock on the door and am welcomed in to chat about whatever immediate matter I want to raise. I work under a senior legal advisor who has acted as a great mentor. Internal communication is efficient and direct, where managers and senior staff approach me directly for a verbal conversation or otherwise clear communications in emails that lay out requests and directions efficiently and concisely. Communication on performance and feedback/praise is personally not adequate to the level I would like, as I am a person who favours this type of direction and recognition, however that is something that is being addressed.

I can always reach out to my line leader or hiring officers to express my concerns, they are responsive and super helpful. I do fortnightly catch up with my line leader, he will give me feedback and tell me what to improve and give me some insight of future works.

Management is easy to talk to and readily available. This can be team dependant; however my area has regular meetings, and my direct managers are checking in with me consistently.
