What’s on offer

Transport Planner graduates will gain professional exposure to a wide range of municipal transport planning matters including citywide strategy and policy development, traffic modeling, corridor and intersection analysis, traffic signal management, customer service investigations, project scoping, and business cases, development assessment advice, infrastructure agreements and stakeholder engagement.

The Transport Planning & Policy unit is responsible for the forward planning of the Gold Coast’s transport system including strategy, road network development, active and public transport infrastructure and partnership initiatives, parking policy, investment prioritisation, advice, and advocacy.

The Strategic Operations team is responsible for optimising the performance of the transport network through a travel demand program, operating City roads, data collection, and traffic analysis. The team is also responsible for supporting the planning and construction of the Gold Coast light rail.
