Your role

Recognised as one of the world’s largest IT and business consulting firms, CGI has offices across Australia, supporting local public and private sector clients to solve real business problems. Due to their continued growth, CGI is looking for a recent Graduate to join the Brisbane team as an Associate Software Engineer. This varied role will involve building exciting AI solutions for our global businesses and developing digital transformation solutions using the Microsoft stack. With a strong supportive team around you, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical proficiency whilst building your consulting skills. They offer flexible work and a hybrid work environment to promote work-life balance. They request a minimum of 2 days in the CGI office/client site.

Responsibilities

  • Develop code patches and new functionality for solutions in your team using the Microsoft stack
  • Support our newest AI platform with your background in data science
  • Assist leaders in developing and delivering AI solutions using the latest technology
  • Help deliver effective and professional digital transformation solutions to our clients
  • Build API-enabled services and microservices to give our customers a flexible solution.

About you

CGI Australia is looking for a recent graduate who has developed the following skills as part of their studies or work placement:

  • Ability to work on complex projects delivering your allocated work to specification
  • Proven knowledge of tools such as Jira, VS Code (or other IDE), git, and code testing tools.
  • Experience with Machine Learning tools and frameworks such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Tensorflow, CUDA, ML.NET
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis with Excel and R or similar
  • Proficient use of the M365 application stack across Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience working with databases, data lakes, and other data stores building real solutions.
  • Evidence of exceptional customer service skills
  • Bonus points for any software vendor certifications you already hold.
  • Full permanent work rights for Australia are required.
