Overview

We recognise the value graduates add to our business. So, we designed a program that gives you meaningful work, access to experienced mentors and the opportunity to learn and grow. We are an action-oriented company where not only will you be developed but your ideas and suggestions are also always welcome!

We are looking to ultimately develop you into a senior HR partner, working closely with our executives and leaders to add value to their people strategy, solutions and advice. As our HR Officer,  you will complete four rotations over two years, spending your time in Performance & Reward, Talent & Capability, and Generalist HR. You will be given day-to-day responsibilities, critical project work and both structured and on-the-job learning. At least one rotation will take you out of the head office and to one of our sites to broaden your experience and really understand our operations.

We will connect you with mentors and provide opportunities to network with other graduates. As a future leader of our business, it is important to us that you do “real work”. Therefore you’ll be exposed to the full breadth of HR to help you work out where your career goals may be. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet with, engage and present to senior leaders in our business to help develop those important soft skills to compliment the business and HR knowledge you have built.

As a People & Capability Graduate

We get it. There are lots of buzzwords in HR. So, here is how we envisage you being a valuable part of our team:

Performance & Reward - We kick off each year with our annual performance review process and you will learn and help support the behind the scenes work. You will run reports, analyse data and prepare documentation and communications. You’ll also support our annual remuneration review cycle, learning how we reward people for their performance and compare our salaries to market data.

Talent & Capability - Next is talent management, with a focus on recruitment and capability. You’ll get hands on experience in the full cycle of recruitment of not just Grads but other roles across our operations. Its a great way to build connections and a deeper understanding of our business. You’ll also lead some strategic projects that support talent sourcing, development and retention.

Generalist HR - Knowing and deeply understanding the roles in our business so you can provide relevant people, policy and employment relations advice is crucial to a leadership role in HR. You will have two rotations in this area, including a major project. You may have the opportunity to learn and get involved in employee and industrial relations, role development and analysis, and streamlining processes for our leaders so they have HR data and advice at their disposal.

About you

  • You have or are close to completing a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources) or Bachelor Psychology (role commences February 2023)
  • You have experience working in a team environment
  • You can build rapport and great relationships with a wide variety of people

 Why apply for our program?

  • A truly hands on experience across talent, performance & reward and generalist HR
  • Solve real issues and develop to your full potential
