We are active in the provision of a comprehensive range of social welfare services, catering the needs from cradle to seniors, including residential aged care, home ageing, settlement and health, vocational and training, disability services, child care and many more community-based services.

CASS Gumnut Early Learning Centre - Hurstville and St. Leonards are community-based long day care centres operated by CASS Care Ltd. The successful applicants must have the ability to create interesting and stimulating environment for children and will be expected to lead, guide and support a team to work towards achieving a high quality education and implement processes that support children in the early years of their development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Working in accordance with the requirements of Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;
  2. Developing programs which reflect an approved learning framework; the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) or My Time Our Place (MTOP);
  3. Contributing to and guide the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection of programs which reflect the emerging skills and interests of children;
  4. Developing strong relationships with children at the service;
  5. Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families;
  6. Implementing the policies and associated procedures of the organisation at all times; and
  7. Providing ongoing support and assistance to the Centre Director.

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education;
  • Accredited Child Protection Training, CPR, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Training certificates;
  • Teacher Accreditation;
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate early childhood programs as required by the EYLF;
  • Sound understanding of National Education and Care Services Regulation;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Hold valid Police Check Certificate and Working with Children Check.

Desirable

  • Previous experience preferred;
  • Good computer literacy;
  • Experience in child care setting.
