Let's talk about what you will need to be considered for our Graduate Program:

You must attach a covering letter, resume and academic transcripts.

To be considered, you will need to satisfy the following requirements:

  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • A completed Bachelor or Master's degree during the last 2 years with a minimum credit plus average. We generally look for applicants with a Bachelor's degree in an area of technology, predominantly Information Systems, Computer Science, Commerce, Finance, Data, and Human Resources, however we will consider other degrees if you have a strong interest and leaning towards technology
  • Be able to commence full time work from 10 October 2022
  • Exceptional communication skills and an outstanding customer service ethic
  • Great academic results as well as a passion for solving complex problems
  • Resilient and energetic team player who is open minded and willing to learn
  • Driven to succeed (at Capgemini we call this โ€œLa Niaqueโ€)
  • A sense of humour, โ€œFunโ€ has been a company value for 50 years!
  • And finally, individuals who care about our people, our community, and our planet and who are totally aligned to our values.

Let's talk about what happens after you apply:

Step 1: Application assessment

We will review your profile through checking your academic results, previous work experience and any extracurricular activities you have undertaken, your motivation for joining us (which should be included in your covering letter), and what area you are interested to work in. We will also check that you have Australian citizenship or Permanent Resident status which is a mandatory requirement.

Step 2: Interviews

Successful applicants will be invited to attend up to two interviews, which will be held via video conference.  Don't be surprised if one of our recruitment super stars reaches out to you for a chat - something interesting may catch our eye on your cv, and we may want to discuss.

Step 3: Final interviews

Successful candidates from the first interview will be invited to a final round of interviews with business leaders. Selections will be made from these interviews and we will proceed to offer and conduct pre-employment screening.  You will then be all set to join our amazing graduate program!

My day-to-day role is to learn and absorb information based on the projects/internal work I'm involved in. It can be quite repetitive at times but its still a learning process where I'm figuring out what I like and don't like.

Pros and cons of working at Capgemini Australia and New Zealand

Pros

  • The people, the culture, and the variety of the work I do. The onboarding program and support after are unmatched.

  • The culture and commitment to work-life balance. The culture is very welcoming and supportive and everyone is so genuine and nice.

  • The company is very employee-oriented, providing great support and opportunities. From offering great employee benefits to professional development opportunities as well interpersonal growth opportunities such as soft-skills training classes Capgemini really is the most ideal company to work at!

  • The support that you get from managers and colleagues for career development. The flexibility in terms of how and where you want to work from. The resources to execute your work. It's a great ecosystem.

  • The people and the work culture are amazing. Everyone has the best intentions and wants you to grow in your graduate year. I absolutely love the stream of work I'm in and enjoy learning about it through collaboration with higher-level consultants, managers, and directors.

Cons

    • Wouldn't call it out as the worst but something I found surprising is the amount of coworker turnover at the company.

    • The type/amount of work you receive is inconsistent due to the nature of consulting companies.

    • As it is a large company you can sometimes feel lost in it all.

    • The location is quite far from me so the commute gets tiring if I'm in the office for more than 2 days straight.

    • Capgemini has a lot of positive aspects, there may be some areas for improvement like base compensation and other corporate benefits
