About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our team as a Workshop Technician based in Horsley Park. This varied role is responsible for the build, run up and configuration of the Canon MFD range of products in accordance with standard run up procedures.  You’ll be required to lift products up to 45KG in weight using team lifting techniques and you utilise your previous mechanical experience as you are trained how to put our components together

Scope of the role includes:

  • Ensuring the build, run up and configuration of the Canon MFD range of products in accordance with standard run up procedures.
  • Compliance with processes to ensure that all product requirements are fulfilled through the workshop.
  • Compliance with HSE regulation and activities to assure a safe working environment.
  • Meeting (contract, SLA and quality) requirements between National ECO Centre and internal/external Customers.
  • Achieving all defined productivity and quality targets.
  • Keeping up to date with current technologies and training, including technical and workplace compliance.
  • Ensuring that all necessary resources (parts, tools, etc) are available to accomplish day to day activities.
  • Maintaining accurate record keeping within systems to provide visibility to the Business.
  • Liaising and maintaining an ongoing relationship with 3rd Party Logistics Providers and other relevant stakeholders as required.

About you

You are someone that has some mechanical experience, and you know you way around a screwdriver.  You are able to lift up to 45kg in weight using team lifting techniques, and you can quickly pick up tasks following on the job training.

 Key Skills & Experience include –

  • High attention to detail with the ability to work methodically and meet SLA’s
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and execute machine run ups effectively
  • Electrical and Mechanical aptitude/interest
  • Basic numeracy skills
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, utilising a team lift for products up to 45kgs
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • High level of teamwork and relationship management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A solution orientated approach to issues and challenges
  • Computer competency
