Welder/Fabricator - TAFE Students Preferred null

Welder/Fabricator needed to join our family owned Steel Door & Window Business in Penshurst !

 This position is open to both existing/upcoming Apprentices OR fully qualified tradesperson. 

Finestra Steel Doors & Windows, is currently seeking applications from individuals with a positive attitude, a desire to learn and a willingness to work in a team environment.

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Completed year 10
• Commitment to a 4 year apprenticeship and ongoing TAFE study (if taking on apprenticeship).
• Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
• Eagerness to lean & develop in the company long term
• Be able to work alone and in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written & verbally

Day to day tasks;

• Fabrication
• Welding of components as specified by drawings, work orders or verbal instructions
• perform welding duties using MIG & TIG welder
• Cutting, Grinding and or punching as required
• Keep working area neat & tidy once jobs are completed
• Follow instructions, procedures, rules & policies in line with company & quality control systems.
• Drive & deliver finalised products to sites within Sydney in company truck (willing to obtain drivers licence)
• Willingness to obtain a Forklift Licence (for use within warehouse)

You must have:

• Good English
• Eligible working rights
• Driver’s license: To operate a small 4.5T truck to deliver finished products and pick up supplies when needed. (Preferred, or willing to obtain).
• White Card (Preferred)
• Fork Lift Licence (Preferred, or willing to obtain)

Salary: Rate of Pay (Hourly) to be discussed with successful candidates upon interview stages. Rates may differ based on age, qualifications, experience etc.

Job Type: Full-time, Apprenticeship Available

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 Hour Shifts per day.

If any occasional Saturday/after hours work is required, this will be paid with accurate penalty rates.

Work Location: On site daily in our warehouse in Penshurst

Expected Start Date: AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
