BRC Lifts is a southern Sydney company looking for some to assemble elevator car components in our factory. The role will involve assembly of lift components including car operating panels, landing push button stations, etc.

A trade qualification is not required as training on the job is provided, however we are looking for someone who likes working with their hands, able to use hand tools and enjoys doing technical work to high standards. You will need to be able to follow procedures including wiring diagrams. This would suit a school leaver or someone who has decided university is not for them at the moment.

This is a full-time role. You will need a driver's licence, be keen to learn, good written and verbal communication skills and good manual aptitude. In exchange, good wages, training and conditions are on offer, including a 19 day month.

The Fixtures Technician performs a wide range of duties including, but not limited to the following:

  • Assemble lift components including car operating panels, landing stations, etc.
  • Following procedures to program displays with suitable backgrounds and floor information.
  • Keep a time log of project work for cost tracking purposes
  • Deliver or pick-up products as required
  • Completion of some overtime hours from time to time, in line with the needs of the business
  • Any other duties that are requested
  • Operate CNC machinery including laser-cutters, routers and plotters.
  • Performs daily plant inspection and startup.
  • Monitors and troubleshoot operating equipment.
  • Participates in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Participates in the plant maintenance program from time to time
  • To achieve quality assurance operational objectives by monitoring and recording production output
  • Assist with inspections and audits
