What you will do

As the Director at Barrack Heights Community Preschool you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and organisation of the Centre, including the provision of a high-quality programme of care and education for the children. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will develop and manage the Centre budget to ensure appropriate and effective use of financial resources, as well as maximising service utilisation. In addition, you will be responsible for providing leadership and development to the Centre staff. 

What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (recognised by ACECQA)
  • BOSTES/NESA registration
  • Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian
  • Meet all requirements for a nominated supervisor
  • Proven leadership, management and relationship-building skills
  • Outstanding skills in communication with families and the community
  • Sound understanding of early childhood theory and curriculum planning for children 0-5 years
  • Evidence of commitment to an inclusive curriculum
  • Demonstrated commitment to Work, Health and Safety and the National Quality Framework
  • Required to have a current National Criminal Record Check
  • Evidence of two doses of a Covid-19 vaccination or a medical contraindication
