Your opportunity

Over the next two years, you’ll rotate through four different areas within Lifeblood’s ICT division. You’ll spend 6 months in different teams and areas within ICT with the potential to span both technical and non-technical specialties.

Some of the teams and areas within ICT:

  • Data Engineering; working with the latest cloud-native data and analytic technologies, build skills to support business insights and intelligence and creating machine learning and AI models.
  • Integration; using the new integration platform Boomi, could be part of the team that develops and supports application integrations and patterns.
  • Application Development; develop internal applications using Java Script and associated cloud technologies such as Power Platform. Help scale our citizen developer program by working with stakeholders within the business who require assistance with developing apps and workflows.
  • Web and Mobile Development and Support: Use Drupal, Google tagging and analytics and other critical technologies to maintain our website and mobile app – within the SAFe Agile framework.
  • Business Analysis; work with customers of ICT to analyse, interpret, define and document their requirements for ICT systems and services. Be involved in conducting market and industry research to identify opportunities, develop financial models to inform decision making and be involved in tender or other procurement activities.
  • Testing; Gain insight into the software development lifecycle and learn about a well-structured testing framework, as well as general testing standards, processes, terminology and the types of tests to be conducted. Bring your development skills to work on automating testing tasks.
  • Scrum Mastery; learn to coordinate Agile ceremonies, partner with business stakeholders and various ICT areas to deliver a shared goal. Lifeblood follows Scale Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and employs SCRUM and Kanban agile practices.
  • Emerging Technology: New technologies are emerging at an unprecedented rate. Get involved with test and learn experiments using some of the very newest technologies to identify new organisational opportunities or to apply toward solving existing problems.
  • Cyber Security: From assurance and engineering to identity and security operations, there are lots of teams and areas within Cyber security that you could get involved in.
  • Service Desk and Application Support: Our service desk provide an essential front-line service to the organisation and our application support team manage numerous applications, work with vendors and business stakeholders.
  • Platform Engineering and automation: Work in our Infrastructure team and help develop out and mature self-service infrastructure capabilities that assist with automating as much as possible in service of our DevOps teams.

What you will bring to Lifeblood

  • Recent Bachelor of Information Technology, Computer Science, Business and Management - completed in December 2023
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Well-developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify, assess and resolve problems
  • Collaborative with an appetite to work with others to achieve a shared goal
  • Willingness to act and be accountable for own actions and decisions
  • A growth mindset, open to new ideas and changing circumstances
