Your role:
As a Navy Dentist you'll provide the full range of dental treatments to Defence personnel at no cost to the patient, so treatment plans never have to be compromised. As a leader, you'll also be responsible for the welfare and administration of the sailors under your command who make up your staff.
You'll be the type of person who works well in a team environment and is not averse to moving around the country and occasionally abroad, sometimes at short notice. Your standards will be high and your work ethic strong.
The facilities you'll work in will range from large multi-dentist surgeries offering the full range of general and specialist dental services, to single Dental Officer clinics at a base or in a ship. All are modern and fully equipped and you'll be supported by well-trained dental and clerical staff.
The opportunities for career progression in the Navy are based on clinical and management competency levels, and you may be given the opportunity for specialist postgraduate training.
