Your role

As a Training Systems Officer in the Air Force, you’ll use your education expertise to advise on the application of the Air Force’s training programs used to develop our personnel and help them to achieve their goals.

You’ll work closely with subject matter experts to analyse, design, and evaluate training that meets the Air Force’s needs and ensure that the development and implementation of this training is of the highest quality.

You’ll work across different areas within the service alongside a range of stakeholders to deliver these programs – from traditional trades to areas at the leading edge of technical innovation.

You’ll have the opportunity to be employed in different capacities – you could be a member of an Air Force base managing the development of training and assessment systems, or in Headquarters providing expertise on training concept development, analysis and policy.

As part of your role, you’ll play an integral part in the maintenance of the Air Force’s Registered Training Organisation status in the Vocational Education and Training Quality Framework.

This is your opportunity to play a critical education and training role in an organisation with a focus on developing its personnel to be the best that they can be.

Salary

You'll earn a good salary from day one, with a starting salary of $85,051 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation when you commence your training, and this increases as you progress.

Location

Upon completion of your training in East Sale, VIC, and Wagga Wagga, NSW, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia.

Life in the Air Force

When you join the Air Force, you’ll benefit from our investment in your professional growth and development, enjoy great work/life balance, a supportive team environment and extensive benefits – from free healthcare to excellent fitness facilities. Plus, there’s the potential for overseas travel.

In addition, there’s the meaningful experiences that come with serving your country. From participating in Air Force exercises and operations to providing support to communities in need, this is your opportunity to take on a career with many rewarding dimensions.
