Your role:

The Defence University Sponsorship program supports nursing students who’ve successfully completed their first-year studies at an Australian accredited university. Once you’ve finished the required training, you may work on base where you’ll use your clinical skills to deliver health and in-patient care, or you could even be deployed to a surgical field hospital during combat, peace-keeping or humanitarian relief operations.

Salary:

While studying, your salary will depend on the completion status of your course, however, on completion of your degree, initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn: $85,051 per annum plus a generous super.

For this role, you must be undertaking a three- or four-year nursing degree and have successfully completed the first semester. Following graduation, you’ll need to secure a post-graduate hospital placement before joining the Army, where upon completion, your full-time role awaits.
