The Aurora Education Foundation is an Indigenous organization that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to realize their full education and employment potential – whether it is completing Year 12 or achieving a Ph.D. from Oxford. Through their interconnected programs and pathways, they walk with students from high school through to university and the workplace, redefining Indigenous educational and employment success.

Your role

This role has accountability for establishing and maintaining high levels of engagement with program stakeholders, in particular, students, their families, and school contacts. The role supports students and their families to build the capacity to navigate the education system. The role also plays a key role during High School Program RISE engagement days by continuing to build strong relationships with students.

About you

Criteria for the role:

  • To be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
  • A demonstrated understanding of Indigenous lived experiences, cultures and organisations 
  • Experience in program delivery, including running activities with young people that focus on goal setting and future thinking 
  • Communication and engagement skills, particularly with Indigenous families and communities 
  • Strong administrative skills, including data entry and email writing 
  • Experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiar with IT and CRM systems, including experience working with MS 365, SharePoint and Dynamics preferred

Other requirements:

  • Satisfactory national police check
  • Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check
