What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
I am extremely satisfied with the graduate salary.
Graduate, Sydney - 30 Oct 2023
Pay is good, bonuses are challenging to get.
Graduate, Brisbane - 30 Oct 2023
Graduate pay is top of the market and highest paid graduate salary in 2023. 1pqe and onwards i am not certain of, however understand after the recent changes to billable hours, the salary will be reflected in 2024. bonuses start by hitting the minimum billable target, inclusive of other non-billable targets.
Graduate, Sydney - 30 Oct 2023
I think my salary is very generous considering my level of experience. it does seem there is a high bar in order to be considered for a bonus.
Graduate, Brisbane - 20 Oct 2023
I do not know what bonus options are available. as a grad, i am paid reasonably well (but this accounts for pre-paid reasonable overtime, too).
Graduate, Perth - 19 Oct 2023
I think that graduates should be eligible for bonuses as they are as prone to working extra hours as any other lawyers in the firm. more transparency in pay would be good but otherwise i cannot complain.
Graduate, Brisbane - 07 Dec 2019
Average, but all other top tiers have just increased by almost 10% and we have not.
Graduate, Melbourne - 07 Dec 2019
Other top tier firms pay much more. as a junior there are no bonuses.
Graduate, Sydney - 07 Dec 2019
For the hours that i work i am happy with the pay, but i do understand that it is below the average pay that other firms at this tier pay their lawyers. however, the firm also pays for fitness first platinum gym membership and offers a lot of other perks which are better than what other firms offer, so that does make up for it.
Graduate, Sydney - 07 Dec 2019
I am satisfied with my pay. i am paid slightly less than when i was working as a senior associate. i am yet to receive any bonuses and i am unsure what our bonus scheme is.
Graduate, Canberra - 07 Nov 2019
There is no bonus for graduates. the salary should reflect inflation within the past 10 years.
Graduate, Sydney - 07 Nov 2019
Starting salary is competitive compared to other industries, and about market compared to other top tier law firms. graduates are not typically eligible for bonuses.
Graduate, Sydney - 07 Nov 2019
I don't know enough about this area yet.
Graduate, Perth - 07 Nov 2019
Pay seems adequate and similar to most firms in the market
Graduate, Perth - 07 Nov 2019
The pay is below market for a top tier law firm.
Graduate, Sydney - 07 Nov 2019
I think we are renominated well, depending on what team you are in and what hours you are working. some teams if you are working 80 hour weeks the renomination is probably not worth it.
Graduate, Sydney - 22 Jul 2019
Below average! below most competitors and below government equivalent. it was the only reason i considered not accepting the position.
Graduate, Perth - 16 Jul 2019
At the bottom end of the pay-scale amongst the big law firms
Graduate, Sydney - 16 Jul 2019
The pay is fair, but not generous.
Graduate, Sydney - 15 Jul 2019
I think the pay is fair for a graduate position. all graduates are paid the same, irrespective of whether they are admitted as a lawyer prior to commencing the graduate program
Graduate, Sydney - 08 Jun 2016
