About the opportunity

Our Corporate Graduate Program is a unique and exciting early careers pathway dedicated to providing meaningful work, growth and security. Our graduates will receive tailored mentoring and support whilst gaining exposure through rotations across a range of departments prior to settling in a specific area at the end of the Program.

We are seeking Safety Graduates who have recently completed a degree in any of the following disciplines – Occupational Safety, Health and Hygiene, Occupational Health, Psychology or Accident Forensics.

This is a structured 2-year program which will commence in July 2024. Located in Osborne, South Australia this program offers outstanding individuals the opportunity to

  • Commence their health and safety career with a leading defence organisation.
  • Be exposed to core functions, including Risk Management, Incident Management, Safety Systems and data analysis, Audit Assurance and Occupational Health.
  • Develop expertise in Safety Management by collaborating across business units to support the Safety Management System and meet regulatory requirements.

About ASC

ASC has served as Australia’s submarine builder and sustainer for over 35 years. ASC built the Collins Class submarine and now sustains the fleet in Osborne, South Australia and in Henderson, Western Australia. Supported by its predominantly Australian supply chain and a highly skilled workforce, we deliver submarine capability and availability to the Royal Australian Navy.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
