There has never been a more exciting time to join Australia’s Defence industry and in particular, the naval shipbuilding sector. ASC has proudly served as Australia’s sovereign submarine builder and sustainer for more than 35 years.

ASC has opportunities for passionate and enthusiastic IT and Cyber Security Graduates who have recently completed a degree in IT or Cyber Security. The program will commence in February 2024. This structured 2-year program will rotate you through a number of specialist areas across the business. You will build your knowledge on the submarine enterprise, setting the foundation for your career in defence, with potential opportunities to continue your career at ASC.

Your duties and responsibilities are, but will not be limited to:

IT Graduate

  • Frontline IT operational support
  • Management and configuration of hybrid cloud infrastructure, networks, hosting services, and other foundational services
  • Integration and Development of business solutions
  • Cloud and platform engineering
  • Digital Business; data and analytics, process automation, business improvement and project management

Cyber Security Graduate

  • Respond to and investigate cyber security alerts and events
  • Perform routine vulnerability assessments and remediations
  • Administer cyber security toolsets
  • Maintain security records, documentation, and reporting
  • Deliver employee cyber awareness initiatives

Eligibility and requirements

To apply for our graduate program you are required to be in the final year of your degree or within 2 years from your graduation date.

The successful candidate must provide ASC with a current National Police Clearance prior as well as be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance, part of this eligibility requirement includes Australian Citizenship.  Access to protected US Defence Technology will be taken into account in assessing an applicant's suitability for this role.
