Committed to helping develop graduates, Arup have a fantastic opportunity for a Civil Technician to join the Sydney based Infrastructure Team.   

What will I do?

  • Be responsible for undertaking engineering/design/drafting tasks in order to meet client requirements for the documentation of various civil infrastructure design projects including road, rail, drainage and utilities
  • Ensure that the Design Quality procedures are applied and design and drawing products comply with the requirements of the project management plans and CADD Manual
  • Provide progress information to supervisors and colleagues to allow accurate reporting of progress
  • Use a combination of standard and modified design and drafting methods/techniques to solve problems including the use of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD), modelling and analysis software

About you

  • Currently enrolled or recently completing relevant qualifications in Engineering
  • Have a developing interest in civil, highway and road design standards and principles, drawing and presentation skills, including 3D road modelling
  • Can demonstrate awareness of software design tools for road engineering including AutoCAD and 12D packages
  • Are motivated and driven to be involved, responsible and accountable for tasks as delegated. Seeks out additional responsibilities in order to grow own capabilities
  • Have ability to relate and work well with people at all levels within the team and within the wider office, as well as externally with clients.
