About The Program

The AWS Early Careers ANZ Women in Tech Interview Bootcamp is a program for tertiary education students based in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) interested in learning more about cloud computing, how to pass the interviewing process and careers at Amazon Web Services.

This 1-week online, interactive developmental program incorporates a mix of skill-based workshops and webinars to help women students explore the possible career paths within AWS and in the cloud industry.

The target audience is current woman students interested in an Internship or Graduate role in 2022/ 2023.

By joining the program, you will be able to:

  • Engage with AWS representatives through mock interview sessions
  • Learn about early career pathways at AWS
  • Learn the fundamentals of cloud computing 
  • Improve your interview and resume skills
  • Get access to AWS Cloud Quest for a fun and interactive way to learn about cloud computing

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility Criteria

This program is open to tertiary education students in Australia and New Zealand and identify as a woman.

We require students to be in their penultimate year to apply (graduating from July or December 2023 onwards), as the program will help you prepare for an FY22/23 internship or graduate roles at AWS.

We encourage students from non-technical and technical backgrounds to apply, so if you study business, law, psychology or anything else, you're all welcome to apply! All you need is a passion for technology and you'll be good to go.

Program Expectation 

1 week of Online Workshops

You will spend approximately 2 hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4.00-6.00pm AEST, attending online workshops.

Note: You will need to be available for the entire 1 week duration of the program.

Program Overview

  • Monday, July 25th (4:00pm - 6:00pm): Kickoff & Introductions. Introduction to Cloud Quest
  • Tuesday, July 26th (4:00pm - 6:00pm): Technical Deep Dive session Part 1 & Intro to interviewing process
  • Wednesday, July 27th (4:00pm - 6:00pm): Technical Deep Dive session Part 2 & technical interview overview
  • Thursday, July 28th (4:00pm - 6:30pm): Interview tips & Mock Interviews

You will have access AWS Cloud Quest for the week. AWS Cloud Quest  provides a unique firsthand experience as you learn how the cloud solves real-world business challenges through the lens of a role-playing game. By participating in Cloud Quest, you'll quickly get up to speed on cloud concepts, terminology, and solutions.
