Job summary

If this sounds exciting to you, then consider joining us as a HR Intern in our Customer Fulfilment HR team!

Key job responsibilities 
In this role you will partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. In addition, you will have the opportunity to own programs that run across the broader HR team. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support employees across a broad range of human resources, benefits, and payroll topics.
  • Manage cases, projects, and key people initiatives.
  • Support with the implementation of engagement and cultural activities.
  • Ensure that employee documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Provide guidance on policies, processes, and systems to customers and team members.
  • Create and distribute standard communications.
  • Audit and analyse key findings.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop suggestions for improvements to maximise value of resources.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality standards.

This role is based on site in a Fulfilment Centres either in Sydney or Melbourne which requires working at site to ensure best impact for your customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently in the penultimate year of a university degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • An enthusiastic team player
  • The ability to prioritise and comfortable working with a fast-paced environment
  • A strong solution focus, with the ability to identify problems and pursue appropriate solutions
  • Excellent internal and external customer service focus
  • The ability to recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements
  • A hands-on approach
  • Ability to work and support a complex and rapid 24/7 environment that has multiple shifts and a significant staffing ramp during our seasonal peak in the fourth quarter.

Please note: Our internship dates are from early December through to Mid/end February 2023, you will need to be available for those dates to be eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to deliver within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations, show a bias for action to come up with solutions to a range of problems.
