We’re looking for ambitious and enthusiastic students to join us at the heart of our Marketplace business. Amazon’s Seller Services business includes all third-party merchant activity through the variety of services we offer: Selling on Amazon, Fulfilment by Amazon, Sponsored Products and Amazon Global Selling. As an Account Manager Intern you will be working in the category teams, helping manufacturers and sellers launch and grow their business on Amazon.com.au 

Key job responsibilities

Working within one of the fastest-growing areas of Amazon you will have the opportunity to work with merchants across a variety of different product categories, helping to launch on Amazon and grow their business with us. In addition, we see you utilizing your skills and looking at ways to implement improvement projects and be involved in the launch of new programs based on feedback from the merchants you engage with. This will require you to work with different teams across Amazon, including working with category teams, product teams, and technical support teams.

Basic qualifications

  • Open to candidates from business/ commerce/ economics majors in the penultimate year of their degree
  • Passionate about sales, retail and helping Australian small and mid-size business grow
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle objections and negotiations
  • People who are self-motivated, flexible, with a focus on maintaining the customer at the centre of everything you do
  • Analytical skills are highly regarded at Amazon and within our team, as well as curiosity to learn in advance in working with data to get insights and to develop clear, actionable plans

Please note: To be eligible for this program you will need to be available for the full internship period from early December 2023 to mid/late February 2024.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some work experience - whether through placement years, internships or university.
  • Experience in data analysis – confident manipulating large sets of data, identifying trends and areas for new business growth (Excel and SQL skills are a plus!).
