Your role

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Safety department of ALDI Stores, based in Minchinbury. This is a permanent full-time role.

This role is integral to the efficient operation of the Minchinbury region Safety team and will be challenging with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and will be in contact with multiple stakeholders.

What does the role look like?

  • Assess risks within the workplace which includes the auditing of current WHS policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and provide guidance on all WHS activities for ALDI Minchinbury warehouse, corporate head office and related stores
  • Regular travel is required to store locations at short notice for ICAM investigations
  • Liaise, consult, and meet with the relevant stakeholders and regulators where possible
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, training, and development
  • Actively manage your area of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving systems for greater efficiency
  • Provide implementation support for projects and manage ongoing business as usual (BAU) tasks
  • Ensure ALDI is compliant with all current legislative obligations in WHS

About you

What do they need from you?

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS and ICAM trained
  • Working knowledge of WHS practices and NSW legislation
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong reporting and analytical capabilities
  • Experience in transport/retail/warehousing-related roles will be highly regarded
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
