Your role

An exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant has become available within the National Payroll team of ALDI stores, based in Minchinbury, NSW. This opportunity is a fixed-term contract until June 2023.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day operational support of the National Payroll team, such as the creation and coordination of employment contracts, and assisting in the review and maintenance of all National Office job descriptions, Payroll policies and procedures. 

  • Preparing and administrating new starter contracts, contract modifications, secondment contracts and letters and flexible work arrangements
  • Updating, writing and preparing new and existing job descriptions 
  • Assist with policy and procedure documentation maintenance
  • Prepare new job evaluation submissions
  • Manage novated leasing applications, paperwork, approval and tracking
  • Assist with queries regarding the application of Payroll/HR policies and practices
  • Contribute and support process improvement initiatives and projects within the National Payroll Team
  • Provide a range of support to the National Payroll and Global Mobility Team

About you

Role requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in HR, ER/IR or a business-related discipline is desirable - Graduates welcome!
  • Experience working with employment agreements, awards and company policies
  • Understanding of the Fair Work Act, WHS legislation and modern awards  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skill set and IT literacy
  • Ability to adapt positively to change
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and apply discretion
