About the role:

Air Liquide currently has an excellent opportunity for an up and coming field service technician with "A Grade electrician qualification' to further expand their experience in the industrial gasses industry. This role offers the chance to work within a professional and knowledgeable team, that will support you in your growth, and provide challenges to grow your experience with a variety of clients in customer-facing situations across the sector. You will gain exposure to a wide range of technical equipment in the role, to expand and prepare you for future roles in your career with us.

Whether it is working in the field or onsite, the purpose of this role is to complete preventative maintenance, (electrical and mechanical components) and provide customer breakdown support, diagnose faults, and carry-out repairs of Air Liquide Australia (ALA) owned or ALA serviced equipment. You will be provided with a field vehicle to travel to customer sites around the Sydney region. The role offers a wide range of interesting work and will keep you challenged and interested, as you grow with a company that will drive your development.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring the equipment or process being attended to is safe and fit for purpose
  • Carrying out a variety of works on equipment or processes as required by management in a timely and efficient manner
  • Fault finding, diagnoses, formulation and delivery of corrective actions whilst minimizing the need for rework
  • Maintaining company assets to help preserve service life
  • Escalating problems to engineers
  • Attending service calls and being available for "on-call" work as required
  • Executing work orders efficiently following Maintenance scheduler plan

To be successful you will have:

  • One of the following trade qualifications: Fitter; Gas Fitter; Refrigeration; Mechanical; Electrician/Electrical Fitter (A grade)
  • Forklift, Elevated Platform and Confined Spaces Licenses (advantageous)
  • Current and valid State Driver's License (MR class Drivers License advantageous)
  • Current Rigging License (advantageous)
  • Previous experience servicing rotating equipment or air compressors
  • Previous experience serving instrumentation or automated systems
  • Previous experience with gas reticulation systems and pressure vessels
  • Strong safety mindset and Customer site service experience
